In 2025, the volume of cryptocurrency transactions tripled compared to 2024. For comparison, in 2022, when the legal sector was just beginning to develop, the turnover was only $8 million.
The total number of transactions in the crypto market exceeded 2.1 million.
This data indicates a significant increase in interest in virtual assets and an increase in user activity in the field of digital finance.
Financial Supervision
The crypto market in Kyrgyzstan can be characterized as a huge "digital exchange," where individuals and companies exchange soms for cryptocurrency and vice versa. This is the simplest and most in-demand way to make payments and transfers. The share of such exchanges accounts for over 94% of the total turnover, which is equivalent to $29.5 billion.
The remaining 6% (approximately $1.8 billion) comes from cryptocurrency exchanges, where market participants engage in professional trading, placing orders and tracking price dynamics.
Thus, in 2025, the use of cryptocurrency in the country was focused not on complex financial operations, but primarily on convenient currency exchange.
