
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister Zhanibek Kerimaliev, heads of relevant departments, the directorate of the Department, as well as heads of territorial divisions and laboratory managers from various regions of the country.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the results of work for 2025, problems in the field of phytosanitary safety were discussed, and solutions were proposed. The ministry's leadership noted that timely chemicalization and crop protection play a key role in enhancing the export potential of Kyrgyz agricultural products.
As a result of the meeting, an action plan for 2026 was adopted, which included the following priority areas:
strengthening control over the import and use of pesticides and agrochemicals; improving the work of quarantine laboratories; increasing the effectiveness of phytosanitary monitoring to ensure food security.
The implementation of these plans aims to reduce the risks of harmful organism spread and improve the quality of Kyrgyz agricultural products both in domestic and foreign markets.
