
Starting from February 11, 2026, according to the decision of the Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee of Kazakhstan, temporary restrictions have been imposed on the import of products from several regions of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the trade representation of Russia in Kyrgyzstan.
The measures affect the territories of the North Caucasian Federal District, as well as the republics of Kalmykia, Buryatia, and Altai, including the Altai Krai, Astrakhan, Omsk, and Novosibirsk regions.
The categories of goods prohibited for import and transit include:
Farm animals and their genetic material.Meat and dairy products that have not undergone thermal processing.Raw materials and products of animal origin without the necessary temperature treatment.Hunting trophies.Used equipment for the maintenance and processing of animals.
In addition, the restrictions apply to animal feeds and feed additives, except for products of plant origin, as well as products that have undergone thermal processing at a temperature of not less than 70°C or chemical/microbiological synthesis.
Participants in foreign economic activity should take these restrictions into account when planning the supply and transit of the specified goods to the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. Relevant agencies are monitoring the situation.
