The National Bank extended the deadline for the export of worn-out dollars until September 2026

- In accordance with the resolution of the Board of the National Bank dated February 18, 2026, amendments have been made to the previous resolution regarding the temporary permission for the export of outdated cash dollars. This refers to the document "On Temporary Permission for the Export of Worn Cash Dollars by Commercial Banks of the Kyrgyz Republic," which was adopted on December 13, 2024, under number 2024-П-09/67-2-(БС). According to the new guidelines: commercial banks are allowed to export outdated cash US dollars and banknotes issued before 2006 until September 1, 2026, in both cash and non-cash forms.

According to Articles 5, 9, and 64 of the Law "On the National Bank," the Board of the National Bank has made the following decisions:

1. Amend the resolution "On Temporary Permission for the Export of Worn Cash US Dollars by Commercial Banks of the Kyrgyz Republic," adopted on December 13, 2024, number 2024-П-09/67-2-(БС):

- in paragraph 1, replace "March 1, 2026" with "September 1, 2026";

- in paragraph 2, also change "March 1, 2026" to "September 1, 2026";

- in paragraph 5, similarly replace "March 1, 2026" with "September 1, 2026".

This resolution comes into effect from the moment of its official publication.
