Veterinary Services, Livestock Development, Pastures, and Feed have been involved in the implementation of the project, aimed at improving epizootic surveillance and responding promptly to threats of the spread of dangerous animal diseases.
The State Institution "AgroSmart" under the Ministry of Agriculture is responsible for the development of this system.
GIS "SUMO" will be a modern web application that allows for the visualization, accounting, and analysis of information regarding the veterinary and sanitary status across the country, according to the statement.
The project includes the following components:
- the creation of an interactive map showing anthrax outbreaks, locations for the disposal of biological waste, and veterinary infrastructure;
- the implementation of a system for accounting veterinary and sanitary measures;
- the formation of a centralized database for conducting analytics, preparing reports, and making management decisions;
- automated notifications to responsible services about new disease outbreaks;
- integration with existing government information systems.
The Ministry of Water Resources noted that the implementation of this system will enhance the transparency of veterinary processes, improve disease prevention measures, and strengthen biological safety in the country.
