The total volumes permitted for import are as follows:
- Kyrgyzstan — up to 5 thousand tons;

Andrey Slepynev, Minister of Trade of the EEC, emphasized that this measure is a balanced approach that, considering its targeted nature requiring confirmation of purpose, will help support the meat processing industry. He added that the innovation will not negatively impact the domestic beef market and will not create additional risks for the implementation of investment projects in the meat cattle breeding sector.
Slepynev noted that previously introduced tariff exemptions contributed to the availability of meat products for the population and helped curb the rise in consumer prices. The deficit of beef in the union countries is traditionally covered by supplies from Latin America and India.
This decision will come into force 10 calendar days after its official publication and will apply to relations arising from January 1, 2026.
