
The State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic announced the completion of its campaign to legalize jewelry on March 1, 2026. According to information provided by the press service of the State Tax Service, jewelry worth approximately 16.8 billion soms was legalized during this initiative, carried out by 942 entrepreneurs. Additionally, 1,604 electronic invoices were registered.
As part of the legalization, data on the remaining jewelry for which there were no documents confirming their origin was entered into the tax service's database. The State Tax Service noted that this measure will create a more effective system for accounting and monitoring the circulation of products in this industry.
The campaign to legalize jewelry was an important step towards improving tax administration, increasing transparency in the economy, and strengthening trust in the reforms being implemented. This initiative was carried out in accordance with the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to support certain sectors of the economy.
