The Ministry of Natural Resources reported how much gold has been mined over the past 5 years and what the reserves are at Kumtor.

At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on agricultural policy, water resources, subsoil use, ecology, and environmental protection, held on March 9, Asel Raimkulova reported on the number of licenses issued for subsoil development in Kyrgyzstan, which currently stands at 2,014.

Licenses are distributed as follows:

The Deputy Minister noted that if an average of 15 tons of gold was mined per year until 2020, this figure increased to approximately 26 tons annually from 2021 to 2025. As a result, 141 tons of gold were mined over the five-year period.

Additionally, according to Raimkulova, the net profit of the "Kumtor" company amounted to $397.7 million in 2024, and it is expected to grow to $706 million in 2025. During the period from 2021 to 2025, 100.6 billion soms were contributed to the budget.
