On the London ICE exchange, the price of Brent crude oil futures for delivery in March 2026 fell below $60 per barrel for the first time since December 19, 2025. Trading data confirms this decline.

As of 10:39 Bishkek time, the price of Brent decreased by 0.89% to $59.97 per barrel. By 10:51, the futures slightly recovered, showing a decrease of 0.74% and reaching $60.06 per barrel.

The Brent brand is a benchmark for oil extracted from the North Sea, located between Norway and the United Kingdom. The name originated from a field discovered in 1970, with production starting in the mid-1970s. Brent has become a key indicator in the physical oil market.
