The Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan Has Changed

According to a statement from the president's press service, Bektur Aliyev has been relieved of his duties as Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan based on his personal request and in accordance with the Constitution and the Law on the National Bank.

As a result of this order, President Japarov appointed Medet Tairov as the new Deputy Chairman.

Medet Tairov has extensive experience in the banking sector. His career began as a manager at the Kyrgyz Investment and Credit Bank. Since 2016, he has worked at JSC "Aiyl Bank" and was also a member of the board of JSC "Bank of Asia." Since February 2023, he has held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "Eldik Bank." In addition, Tairov has consulting experience with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which is part of the World Bank.
