In 2025, Kyrgyzstan produced 19,508.85 tons of marketable fish. This data was announced by the country's Ministry of Agriculture.
This volume became possible thanks to the efforts of both individuals and legal entities engaged in fish farming and operating under contracts with the Department of the Fishery Complex.
Chui region ranked first in production volumes, with 12,844.8 tons of fish harvested. It is followed by:
Jalal-Abad region with 2,845.6 tons,
Issyk-Kul region — 1,505.3 tons,
Naryn region — 1,373.2 tons,
Talas region — 533.45 tons,
Osh region — 406.5 tons.
In the structure of commercial fishing, the largest shares are made up of the following species:
rainbow trout — 17,132.05 tons,
carp (common carp) — 813.2 tons,
other fish species — 1,563.6 tons.
