The Chui region made the largest contribution to this figure—12,844.8 tons of fish were produced there.
The statistics for the other regions are as follows:
The main part of the production consists of rainbow trout, which accounted for 17,132.05 tons. In turn, carp (common carp) made up 813.2 tons, while other fish species totaled 1,563.6 tons.
The data on production growth confirms the successful development of aquaculture and the expansion of fish farming across the country, the ministry notes.
- In addition, digital platforms and information systems in the field of fish farming have been implemented in Kyrgyzstan. In particular, the "Electronic Fishing Ticket" information system is actively used. There is also the "Unified Electronic Register of Fishery Water Bodies and Fishery Entities," which allows entrepreneurs to receive state-paid services in electronic format.
Furthermore, the "Fish and Fish Product Traceability Information System" is being developed, aimed at ensuring compliance with veterinary and sanitary standards in aquaculture and increasing the export potential of fish products produced in the country.
