A system of digital traceability for fish is being launched in Kyrgyzstan

In the Kyrgyz Republic, the Department of Fisheries is embarking on a digital transformation of the fishing sector. As part of this initiative, several information platforms have been developed aimed at simplifying the work of entrepreneurs and increasing market transparency. One of the key innovations is the "Information System for the Traceability of Fish and Fish Products." It will allow tracking the entire life cycle of products in digital format—from the incubation of imported caviar to the preparation of finished products for export. This initiative will not only ensure compliance with veterinary and sanitary standards but will also significantly increase the export potential of Kyrgyz fish in international markets.

For fishing enthusiasts, the "Electronic Fishing License" system is already available. Now, it is easy to obtain a permit for sport and recreational fishing through the official website of the ministry or the MegaPay mobile application, using QR payments from any bank. This innovation eliminates the need to contact government institutions and handle paper documentation.

At the same time, the AIS "Unified Electronic Register of Fishery Water Bodies and Entities" is being put into operation. With this system, fish farming farmers will be able to receive government services remotely. In particular, there is now the option to submit an online application for a fish farming passport and biological justification for fish breeding. The Department emphasizes that the large-scale digitalization of the industry will create equal and transparent conditions for all market participants, contributing to the systematic growth of the fishing industry in the republic.
