The initiator of this bill was the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The amendments made to the Protocol aim to address deficiencies identified in the enforcement process, as well as to clarify the terminology used in the Treaty of the Union. Additionally, the amendments grant the Eurasian Economic Commission the right to approve the methodology for determining barriers in the internal market of the Eurasian Economic Union and to confirm that certain barriers and restrictions are no longer in effect.
