- At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on February 26, 2026, Deputy Altynbek Kylychbaev raised the issue of delays in the work of damage assessors when insuring housing.

He noted that in the case of vehicles, citizens are forced to wait for assessments for several weeks.

The deputy also inquired about the established waiting period for damage assessors when insuring residential properties against natural disasters and fires.

In response to this inquiry, the head of the Service for Regulation and Supervision of the Financial Market, Marat Pirnazarov, indicated that the law stipulates:

property assessors are required to complete their work within 10 days from the date of receiving the application.

Additionally, he added that the agency intends to consider the possibility of reducing these timeframes to improve citizen services and expedite insurance payouts.

This issue was raised during the discussion of the draft Law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic (to the Civil Code, Law on Mandatory Insurance of Residential Properties Against Fire and Natural Disasters)" (submitted for the first reading).
