Comparing with January 2025, when the production volume was 52 billion 192.8 million soms, it can be noted that the industrial sector demonstrated positive dynamics: the physical volume index was 112.7%.
The largest contribution to the total industrial production came from the Chui region, where products worth 27 billion 569.7 million soms were produced in January, and the physical volume index reached 128.3%. Significant figures were also shown by the Issyk-Kul region with 15 billion 856.9 million soms (PVI 115.4%) and the city of Bishkek with 12 billion 744.4 million soms (PVI 115.6%). These regions remain the main players in the country's industrial production.
Considering the dynamics, the most impressive growth rates were observed in the Jalal-Abad region, where the physical volume index was 142.8%, and production volume increased to 4 billion 461.2 million soms. The Batken region also showed significant growth with a PVI of 139.2% and a volume of 760.5 million soms. In the Osh region, the index was 136.1%, with a production volume of 1 billion 467.1 million soms. The Naryn region also noted growth to 884.6 million soms and an index of 133.2%.
However, not all regions were able to end the month with positive results. In the Talas region, there was a decline compared to January of last year, with a physical volume index of 88.1%, despite a production volume of 4 billion 853.4 million soms. Negative dynamics were also observed in the city of Osh with an index of 96.1% and a production volume of 1 billion 233.3 million soms.
Thus, the overall growth of the industry in January 2026 was ensured by both large manufacturing regions (primarily the Chui region, Issyk-Kul region, and Bishkek) and regions with the highest growth rates (Jalal-Abad, Batken, and Osh regions).
