How many and what types of trees were planted in Kyrgyzstan in 2025

In 2025, within the framework of the "Green Heritage" program, 8,239,915 tree seedlings were planted in Kyrgyzstan, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Among the planted trees, one can find species such as poplar, elm, birch, oak, walnut, pistachio, almond, apple, apricot, Tian Shan spruce, pine, and juniper, as well as mulberry and others.

The seedlings were planted over an area of 6,420 hectares, and it is worth noting that their survival rate reached 74.5%.

Currently, 3,820,663 seedlings have already been planted in the republic over an area of 3,250.648 hectares. Plans for 2026 include the planting of 9 million new seedlings. Work on the irrigation and protection of the planted trees is carried out regularly.
