On February 18, 2026, a solemn opening ceremony of the forum "Agrodialog–2026" took place at the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K.I. Skryabin, organized by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.

According to the university, this forum became an important event uniting scientists, agronomists, and students. The main goal of the event is to exchange experiences, implement high technologies, and promote the development of agriculture in Kyrgyzstan.

The first day of the event was dedicated to issues of crop production and attracted the attention of farmers, agribusiness entrepreneurs, representatives of government bodies, and KNAU students. Participants discussed modern methods used for growing grains, technical crops, as well as fruits and vegetables.

Expert farmers shared their experiences by presenting a number of practical reports on the development of their farms and the implementation of modern technologies. KNAU students also presented the results of their scientific research and proposed innovative solutions for the agricultural sector:

For instance, Turdubekov E.A., a third-year student of the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry, presented a report on the topic: "Chickpea as a Crop Adapted to Climate Change," in which he discussed the advantages of chickpeas under drought conditions and temperature fluctuations.

Ernis K. Akbermet, also a third-year student of the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry, shared her thoughts on the topic: "Ways and Advantages of Propagating Clonal Roots in Horticulture."

Additionally, Beishenbekova Saadat, a first-year master's student of the Faculty of Technology and Bioresources, delivered a presentation on the topic: "Application of Modern Biotechnologies for Producing Quality Seed Potatoes."

The students' presentations sparked great interest and active discussions among the forum participants.

The "Agrodialog–2026" forum will continue for two more days, during which new thematic sections and joint discussions are planned, aimed at finding solutions for the sustainable development of agriculture in Kyrgyzstan.

The rector of the university, academician Nurgaziev R. Z., expressed support for the initiatives of young scientists aimed at developing modern scientific directions in the agricultural sector.
