The ak-kalpak will become a symbolic element of national identity
The national team of Kyrgyzstan has received official gear for the XXV Winter Olympic Games, which will be held in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo. The presentation of the uniform was conducted by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic.
The new design combines modern international standards with bright elements of national style. The ceremonial uniform is made in white and includes the traditional headwear — the ak-kalpak, which will become a significant visual symbol of the country during the opening of the Olympics on February 6.
A dark blue training outfit has been created that meets the requirements of comfort and safety in challenging alpine conditions.
The development of the equipment was carried out with the support of sponsors in accordance with the agreement between the State Agency for Sports and the National Olympic Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
It is important to note that Kyrgyz athletes plan to participate in alpine skiing and cross-country skiing competitions at the Winter Games in Italy.
