The decision was made in response to appeals from local residents and a video posted on social media.
The Ministry of Construction of Kyrgyzstan has halted the construction of a 14-story residential complex that was being built near secondary school No. 61 in Bishkek.
The reason for this decision was a video appeal from citizens published on social media, in which they expressed concern about the building's proximity to the educational institution and the potential threat to children's safety.
According to the ministry's press service, "by the order of Minister Nurdana Oruntaev, all work at the construction site has been stopped, and the permits have been revoked."
Currently, government agencies are conducting additional inspections to determine the legality of the construction and assess the potential threat that the building may pose to students.
