In Kyrgyzstan, the Day of Book Giving is celebrated

On February 14, a large-scale celebration of Book Giving Day takes place in Kyrgyzstan. This initiative, according to the Ministry of Culture, aims to stimulate interest in reading and strengthen the spiritual values of society.

Events such as Book Swap, quest games, and campaigns titled "A Book is the Most Valuable Gift" have been organized in more than a thousand libraries across the country, where readers actively participate in book exchanges.


The Alykul Osmonov National Library is updating its book collection and hosting various festive events. Additionally, the Kasymaly Bayalinov Republican Library for Children and Youth offers special programs for young readers.

The State Book Chamber of Kyrgyzstan is actively distributing new books to regional libraries, thereby contributing to the renewal of library collections.

The Ministry continues its systematic work on the development of the book industry and meeting the spiritual needs of the population.
