The State National Security Committee (GKNB) has halted the activities of an illegal pawnshop
The State National Security Committee (GKNB) confirmed the information about the cessation of operations of an illegal pawnshop.
On February 12, 2026, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan named "A.A.T." was detained, who, according to the intelligence agency, organized the issuance of loans without the necessary licenses. The investigation believes that this individual provided loans to citizens in difficult financial situations at extremely high interest rates.
During the searches, officials seized documents related to approximately ten real estate properties.
Additionally, the detainee was found to possess a smoothbore firearm of the "Baikal" brand with ammunition, which, according to the agency, was stored in violation of current legislation.
The suspect has been placed in the GKNB detention center. Investigative actions are currently ongoing to clarify all circumstances of the case and possible accomplices.
