
The main task of the program will be the construction and reconstruction of 127 roads, of which 12 will be built from scratch, and 115 will be renovated.


Ulanbek Beyshenbaev noted that the volume of such work will be one of the largest steps towards modernizing the street infrastructure of the capital in recent years.
Additionally, this program plans to build three overpasses and 20 underground pedestrian crossings.
In 2026, 29 streets will also be repaired with a complete renovation of sidewalks totaling 28.1 kilometers.


A transport interchange is planned at the intersection of Leo Tolstoy and Young Guard streets, as well as the extension of Mederov Street to Chingiz Aitmatov Street. A section from Valikhanov Street and Chuy Avenue will also be extended through the canal to Kolbaev Street.
Particular attention will be paid to the construction of six bridges, which will significantly improve traffic flows and increase the capacity of urban highways.
Priority areas include the development of roads connecting the Eastern bypass road.
The following projects will be implemented as part of the program:
- Sukhé-Bator Street from Auezov Street to the boundary of the project road;
- Zhukejeva-Pudovkina Street from Sukhé-Bator Street to Balik Kumara Street;
- Imanaliev Street from Zhukejeva-Pudovkina Street to April 7 Street;
- Puteprovodnaya (Leo Tolstoy) Street from Auezov Street to the boundary of the project road;
- Akhunbaev Street to the intersection of Auezov Street with the project highway.


The city authorities also plan to actively develop bicycle infrastructure, creating new conditions for alternative modes of transportation.
In addition, plans include the purchase of 625 buses to renew the city’s vehicle fleet and improve the quality of public transport.
