Kyrgyz Hydrometeorological Service has issued a storm warning
Due to the complex avalanche situation and rising air temperatures, from February 23 to February 26, there is a risk of snow avalanches and ice in mountainous areas.
Increased danger will be observed on the following sections of roads:
- Bishkek-Osh, 121-138 km (Töö-Ashuu Pass),
- Bishkek-Osh, 198-265 km (Ala-Bel Pass, Chychkan Gorge),
- Myrza-Ake-Kara-Kulja-Alaikuu, 55-115 km,
- Ala-Buka-Kanysh-Kiya, 45-112 km (Chapchyma Pass),
- Krasnaya-Gorka-Aktash, 0-3 km,
- Sary-Tash-Daroot-Korgon-Karamyk, 97-98 km,
- Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart, 292-305 km (Dolon Pass),
- Aral-Ming-Kush, 1-14 km; Aral-Suusamyr, 8-21 km,
- Balikchy-Kazarman-Jalal-Abad, 201-205 km,
- 260-290 km and 326-349 km (Kök-Art Pass),
- Karakol-Enilchek, 45-90 km (Chon-Ashuu Pass).
When traveling through avalanche-prone areas, drivers are advised to maintain a distance of 500 meters between vehicles.
