From February 16 to 18, there is a probability of snow avalanches, as well as intense snowfall and ice formation in the mountainous regions of the country. This information was announced by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
On several key highways, including sections of the Bishkek – Osh road (Töö-Ashuu and Ala-Bel passes), Bishkek – Naryn – Torugart (Dolon pass), Balakchy – Kazarman – Jalal-Abad (Kök-Art pass), Karakol – Enilchek (Chon-Ashuu pass), as well as the routes Ala-Buka – Kanysh-Kiya and Myrza-Ake – Kara-Kulja – Alaykuu, avalanches and snow drifts are expected.
In the listed sections of the road, special caution should be exercised, as there is a risk of avalanches, snow drifts, and ice. Drivers are advised to maintain a safe distance of at least five hundred meters between vehicles.
