Storm Warning: Avalanche Risk Expected in Mountain Areas from February 14 to 16

According to information from Kyrgyzhydromet, from February 14 to 16, there is a predicted likelihood of avalanches in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan, as well as possible snow drifts, ice, and snow cover.

According to the information provided by Kyrgyzhydromet, avalanches may occur on the following sections of highways:

- Bishkek-Osh, 121-138 km (Töö-Ashuu pass),

- Bishkek-Osh, 198-265 km (Ala-Bel pass, Chychkan gorge),

- Suusamyr-Talas-Taraz, 1-14 km (Ötmäk pass),

- Myrza-Ake-Kara-Kulja-Alayku, 55-115 km,

- Ala-Buka-Kanysh-Kiya, 45-112 km (Chapchyma pass),

- Krasnaya-Gorka-Aktash, 0-3 km and Sary-Tash-Daroot-Korgon-Karamyk, 97-98 km,

- Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart, 292-305 km (Dolon pass),

- Aral-Ming-Kush, 1-14 km and Aral-Suusamyr, 8-21 km,

- Balikchy-Kazarman-Jalal-Abad, 326-349 km (Kök-Art pass),

- Karakol-Enilchek, 45-90 km (Chon-Ashuu pass).

When traveling through avalanche-prone sections of highways, it is recommended to maintain a distance of at least 500 meters between vehicles.
