According to information from Kyrgyzhydromet, from February 7 to 9, there is a high avalanche danger expected in the mountains of the country and on several roads. This is due to recent and upcoming precipitation, which may trigger snow avalanches and also lead to the formation of snow drifts and ice.

The most vulnerable sections of the roads are: Bishkek – Osh (121–138 km, Too-Ashuu pass; 198–255 km, Ala-Bel pass and Chychkan gorge), Ala-Buka – Kanysh-Kiya (65–110 km), Krasnaya Gorka – Ak-Tash (0–3 km), Myrza-Ake – Kara-Kulja – Alaykuu (65–101 km), and Karakol – Enilchek (45–90 km, Chon-Ashuu pass).

In this regard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations strongly recommends that drivers exercise caution in hazardous areas and maintain a distance of at least 500 meters between vehicles.
