According to a statement from the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, heavy precipitation is expected in Kyrgyzstan from January 27 to 29, which may lead to avalanches in mountainous areas.
According to the agency's information, the most dangerous sections are located on the Bishkek-Osh highway (from 198 to 255 km, including the Ala-Bel pass and the Chychkan gorge) and the Karakol-Enilchek road (from 45 to 90 km, Chon-Ashuu pass). Snow drifts and icy conditions may occur here.
Specialists strongly recommend that drivers passing through avalanche-prone areas maintain a safe distance of 500 meters between vehicles.
