In Kyrgyzstan, TikTok users managed to bypass the ban
On February 26, in the evening, many residents of Kyrgyzstan noticed that access to the social network TikTok became possible without using a VPN. They actively reported this on social media.
The ability to use the platform appeared for residents of the capital and other regions of the country.
Despite the absence of an official announcement about the lifting of the ban, proposals for its cancellation have already been made in the Jogorku Kenesh and the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy.
It is worth reminding that TikTok was blocked in the spring of 2024 at the request of the State National Security Committee (GKNB). The reason for this measure was the materials that posed a danger to children, as well as the need to strengthen content control.
