Prior to this appointment, Asanaliev held various leadership positions in the media, government institutions, educational organizations, and cultural projects. In recent years, he worked at the Bishkek Humanities University and headed the city museum named after Alykul Osmonov, which is part of the Directorate of United Museums of Bishkek.
Zamirbek Asanaliev has received several awards for his achievements in the culture of the Kyrgyz Republic, including the badge of "Excellence in Culture".
The State Memorial Complex named after Alykul Osmonov is located in the village of Kaptal-Aryk, in the Panfilov district of the Chui region — the poet's homeland. The complex includes a museum dedicated to his life and work, a monument, and a memorial area. This site is also included in the national list of historical and cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan.
