
The central plots of the capital will be transferred free of charge, possibly for construction.
A draft resolution regarding the transfer of land plots located at the addresses: Chuy Avenue, 108 and Kyiv Street, 55 was considered by the Bishkek City Council.
According to the city administration, on January 20, 2026, the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic sent letter No. 11/112 requesting the transfer of these lands to state ownership.
According to the resolution of the Bishkek city administration dated February 23, 2026, No. 52, the following decisions were canceled:
- the local government resolution dated December 18, 1995, No. 253, which provided the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic with a land plot for the "House of Artists" at Chuy Avenue, 108;
- the city administration decision dated April 15, 2002, No. 215, on the transfer of a land plot to LLC "Paging Company Areopag-Page" on Kyiv Street, 55 for temporary use for an administrative-production building.
The free transfer of the specified plots to state ownership is planned for the purpose of "comprehensive development and creation of a unified architectural appearance of the city's facilities and infrastructure."
