Kadir Night is celebrated on the night of March 17. How to properly observe it?

This year, Kadir Night will take place from March 16 to 17. The information was provided by the Kabar agency, citing the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan.

This night, known as the Night of Decree, falls on the last third month of the holy Ramadan:

Kadir Night is one of the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan. It is awaited by billions of Muslims around the world, as this event occurs only once a year and is considered very blessed, equated to 83 years.

Islamic scholars offer various interpretations of the term "Kadir." In one meaning, it translates as "decree" or "majestic night," while in another, it means "night of constriction." This is because on this night, a vast number of angels descend to Earth, experiencing "constriction" on the planet.

Kadir Night is significant because it is at this moment that the Quran was revealed. Therefore, during the month of Ramadan, it is especially important to read, listen to, and study it. It is beneficial to attend meetings with theologians and scholars who discuss the essence of this night and other relevant religious topics.

Such events contribute to deep self-reflection, help recognize and correct mistakes, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and unity in society.

It is believed that the Night of Decree is more valuable than a thousand months. Whoever spends it in sincere prayers and faith will receive forgiveness for all their sins.

On this sacred evening, it is worth asking for well-being, praying for the strengthening of friendship and unity, as well as for the protection of humanity from calamities. Additionally, it is important to raise dua (prayers) for the health and happiness of loved ones.
