



The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the reconstruction work on the IV phase of the Suusamyr–Talas–Taraz highway is continuing without interruptions.
Currently, activities are underway to level and widen the roadway, relocate drainage pipes, dismantle concrete supports for power lines, and construct bridges.
Over 147 units of specialized equipment and 229 workers are involved in the project. Additionally, two asphalt concrete plants, one concrete plant, and two crushing plants have been installed and put into operation at the site.
The total length of the reconstructed section is 93 kilometers. The highway starts in the city of Talas and extends to the "Kichi-Kapka" border crossing. The completion of construction work is planned for 2025-2028, and the warranty for the project is 5 years.
“As part of the project, the reconstruction of six bridges will be carried out, one underground passage will be built, and sidewalks and lighting will be arranged in populated areas. The technical category of the road will be upgraded from category III to category II,” the message states.
