On January 15, 2001, Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger founded "Wikipedia," which has transformed over a quarter of a century from a modest resource with 100 articles into a vast online encyclopedia containing over 65 million articles. Each month, this resource attracts nearly 15 billion views.

The management of "Wikipedia" today is carried out by the Wikimedia Foundation, established in 2003. In honor of its anniversary, the foundation released a documentary miniseries dedicated to eight editors from around the world who contribute to the development of the encyclopedia.

Last year, "Wikimedia" presented a strategy aimed at supporting "Wikipedia" in the face of the growing influence of artificial intelligence, despite some traffic declines.

Additionally, a digital "time capsule" project was launched, which includes audio recordings of Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, where he shares important moments from the platform's history.

The foundation also compiled a list of the 25 most popular topics explored on "Wikipedia" throughout the project's existence. The top five included topics related to lists of celebrity deaths, the United States, President Donald Trump, Queen Elizabeth II, and India.
