
Starting from the last week of January (from January 26 to February 1), viewers will be able to enjoy a multitude of new series. In the upcoming seven days, new releases from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the return of beloved characters from "Bridgertons," thrilling British thrillers, and long-awaited continuations of popular shows will hit the screens.
“Wonder Man,” premiere of the fantasy series (January 27)
The plot centers around Simon Williams, known as Wonder Man, who becomes a victim of a complicated situation in his father's business. Faced with competition from Tony Stark and his company Stark Industries, he decides to accept the villain Baron Zemo's offer, which endows him with extraordinary abilities, such as super strength. Now, Wonder Man becomes part of the Avengers.
“The Vanished,” thriller, premiere (February 1)
Alice (Kaley Cuoco) and Tom (Sam Claflin) embark on a romantic trip to France, but their perfect vacation turns into a real nightmare. After Tom disappears from the train, Alice begins her search for him and soon finds herself embroiled in a dangerous conspiracy that reveals her husband's true nature. Director Barnaby Thompson and his son Preston, who previously worked together on the comedy "Caught," create a dark thriller, eschewing humor.
“Under the Salt Marsh,” thriller, premiere (January 30)
Jackie Ellis (Kelly Reilly), a former detective, now works as a teacher in a coastal town in Wales. Her quiet life is disrupted when she finds the body of her student in the salt marshes. This incident forces her to revisit an old case about the disappearance of her niece Nessa (Amara Atwal), while a severe storm approaches the town. The series was filmed in picturesque but dangerous locations in North Wales.
“School Spirits,” fantasy, third season (January 26)
The plot is based on the work of Nate and Megan Trinrud and Maria Nguyen, and tells the story of Maddy Niers, a teenager who finds herself in the afterlife. She seeks to uncover the mystery of her death, working alongside other students who are also in a similar situation. As she gets closer to the truth, Maddy faces new secrets and challenges.
“Bridgertons,” melodrama, fourth season (January 29)
This series is an adaptation of a literary work and unfolds in a historical context in London. The main characters are eight siblings from the Bridgerton family who are trying to find their place in high society, facing various challenges and their first serious problems, including first love, which does not always lead to happiness.
“The Dungeon,” drama, premiere (January 26)
Haydar Ali (Deniz Can Aktaş) ends up in prison after deciding to take revenge for his family. In prison, he encounters a dangerous cartel and, three years later, learns that his beloved Jaylan (Devrim Özkan) has married his friend (Uraz Kaygılaroğlu). Now he must choose between loyalty and true love in the world of Turkish crime. Screenwriters Raji Shashmaz and Bahadır Özden, known for "Valley of the Wolves," along with Soner Yalçın, who worked on "Intersection," promise viewers an exciting plot and tense moments.
“Children of Change,” drama, second season (February 29)
At the center of this crime drama with elements of dark humor are three brothers from different fathers. Their mother, Flora, who works as a trolleybus driver, brings them together as a family, despite their differences. The events unfold in 1995, when criminal activity in the country is on the rise, and each brother faces his own secrets and friends, leading to conflicts in their family relationships against the backdrop of economic decline.
“Therapy,” comedy, third season (January 28)
The main character is a psychotherapist who, facing personal difficulties, begins to behave unprofessionally. He starts imposing his opinions on clients about how they should act, leading to unexpected and sometimes comical consequences as patients react to his approach in various ways.
“The Rise of the 49ers,” documentary, premiere (February 1)
The documentary tells the story of how Bill Walsh, taking over a struggling team, turned it into a five-time Super Bowl champion. Using rare archival footage and interviews with players Joe Montana and Steve Young, the project immerses viewers in the era of the club's greatness. The narrator is the famous Tom Brady.
