
Igor Kudrenko has been appointed as the head coach of the Kyrgyzstan U-17 youth national football team.
Kudrenko is an experienced coach with an AFC "A" certificate and a FIFA Coach Educator diploma. In the past, he worked for a long time in the coaching staff of the national team of Kyrgyzstan alongside Alexander Krestinin, which allowed him to make a significant contribution to the team's achievements on the international stage.
In 2017, he became the coach of the U-23 team, which won the Tsunami Cup tournament. Additionally, Kudrenko held the positions of technical and sports director in the Kyrgyz Football Union. At the club level, he worked with teams such as "Dordoi" (Bishkek), "Bunyodkor", "Lokomotiv" (Tashkent), and "Bars" (Karakol), repeatedly becoming the champion of the Kyrgyz Premier League.
Kudrenko's appointment is seen as a key step towards forming a new generation of footballers capable of competing at a high level. Under his leadership, the U-17 team will prepare for the 2027 Asian Cup, with the qualifying round scheduled from August 29 to September 6, 2026.
