The Kyrgyz Football Union has announced the appointment of Igor Kudrenko as the head coach of the youth national team of Kyrgyzstan in football (U-17).

It is reported that Kudrenko is a highly qualified specialist with extensive experience in Kyrgyz football.

“He holds an AFC 'A' license and a FIFA coaching diploma. For many years, Igor worked in the coaching staff of the national team of Kyrgyzstan alongside Alexander Krestinin, and his contribution to the team's successes is hard to overestimate. In 2017, he led the (U-23) team that won a tournament in Indonesia. Kudrenko also held the positions of technical and sports director in the KFS, which indicates his deep understanding of the football structure,” the official statement says.

At the club level, Kudrenko has experience working with the teams "Dordoi," "Bunyodkor" (Tashkent), "Lokomotiv" (Tashkent), and "Bars" (Karakol).

As the new coach, he will prepare the team for the qualifying tournament for the Asian Cup, which will take place from August 29 to September 6.
