On December 29, around 23:20, a rare predator—the snow leopard (or irbis), listed in the Red Book—was spotted in the village of Boroldoy in the Kemin district. According to reports, the animal entered the territory of the settlement and climbed a tree, from which it was successfully brought down.

To the scene of the incident, the ranger of the Chuy Regional Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, J. Chokoev, and hunter U. Abikanov promptly arrived, who were able to safely return the snow leopard to the ground.
