The football club "Toktogul," representing Kyrgyzstan, has signed a contract with the outstanding Georgian player Solomon Kverkvelia, who is considered one of the best in his country in recent years. This information appeared on the official social media pages of the club.
According to the published data, the contract between Solomon and the club is for two years. The footballer has already arrived in Bishkek to begin working together.
Solomon Kverkvelia, who is 33 years old, has the potential to become the most successful footballer in the history of Kyrgyz football. He previously played for Moscow's Lokomotiv, with which he became a champion, won two Cups, and one Super Cup of Russia, as well as winning the Russian Cup with Kazan's Rubin. He was twice awarded the title of best player in Georgia in 2014 and 2017 and represented the country at EURO 2024.
Furthermore, at the peak of his career, Kverkvelia became the highest-rated player in the history of Kyrgyz football — in 2019, his market value reached 10 million euros, while now it stands at 250 thousand euros.
The football club "Toktogul" will debut in the top division of the Kyrgyzstan championship. The head coach of the team is Ukrainian specialist Sergey Puchkov, who previously worked with the club "Muras United."
