Former Spartak footballer Mukhsin Mukhamadiev has passed away


Mukhsin Mukhamadiev, a former footballer of Moscow's "Spartak" and the sports director of Kazan's "Rubin," passed away at the age of 60, as reported by his close representatives to TASS.

Since November 15, 2025, he had been in serious condition and undergoing treatment in intensive care following several strokes.

Mukhsin was born on October 21, 1966, in Dushanbe. In the early stages of his career, he played for the "Pamir" club, and then continued his career in Russia, playing for "Lokomotiv" (Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod), "Spartak" (Moscow), "Torpedo" (Moscow), "Shinnik" (Yaroslavl), as well as for Vienna's "Austria" and Turkish "Ankaragücü."

In 1994, he won the title of Russian champion as part of "Spartak." From 2008 to 2012, he served as the sports director of "Rubin," which during this period became the Russian champion twice and won the Cup and Super Cup of the country. Additionally, Mukhamadiev became a successful coach, leading "Istiklol" to victory in the Tajikistan championship twice.

Mukhsin Mukhamadiev left a significant mark in the history of Russian and Tajik football, establishing himself as a player, coach, and sports official.
