Igor Kudrenko has become the new coach of the Kyrgyzstan U-17 national football team.

The coach holds an AFC "A" license and a diploma from FIFA in coaching.

Previously, Kudrenko played for the Kyrgyzstan national team and worked in the coaching staff under Alexander Krestinin. In 2017, he led the U-23 team to victory in a tournament in Indonesia.

Additionally, Kudrenko held the positions of technical and sports director in the Kyrgyz Football Union.

At the club level, he has coached teams such as Dordoi, Bunyodkor (Tashkent), Lokomotiv (Tashkent), and Bars (Karakol).

Kudrenko will prepare the youth team for the qualification for the Asian Cup, which will take place from August 29 to September 6.

Before Kudrenko's appointment, the head coach position was held by Australian Alexander Bauer, who was dismissed after two consecutive defeats in the qualifying tournament.

In the remaining part of the qualifiers, the team was led by Anarbek Ormombekov.
