Actor and Rector of the Moscow Art Theatre School Igor Zolotovitsky Has Passed Away

Igor Zolotovitsky, who was the rector of the MKhAT school-studio and a talented actor, has passed away. This was reported on the MKhAT website.

According to preliminary information, the cause of his death was an oncological disease, specifically stomach cancer.

Viewers remembered Igor Zolotovitsky for his roles in a number of Soviet and Russian films. Among his works are "Non-professionals" by Sergey Bodrov Sr. (1985), "Dark Nights in Sochi" by Vasily Pichul (1989), "Taxi Blues" by Pavel Lungin with Pyotr Mamonov (1990), as well as the comedy "Faster than Rabbits" with the "Quartet I" theater (2013). In addition, he appeared in such series as "March of the Turkish 2," "Kamenskaya 3," and "A Brief Course in a Happy Life."

Since 1989, Igor Zolotovitsky had been teaching at the MKhAT school-studio, and since 2013 he held the position of rector.
