“Since the winter holidays ended, the situation has not improved. It is still cold in the school, and forecasters predict severe frosts in the coming days. In the classroom where six-year-old children study, classes start at 07:30. The temperature indoors is very low, and the children are forced to sit in their outerwear. Because of this, they have started to get sick,” the parents say.
Parents also noted that they have already contacted the city hall with complaints.
“A lot of time has passed, and the school principal has not provided any comments or information to the parents. I have contacted the Department of Education, the city hall, and 'Bishkekteploset', but they said that no official complaints regarding the lack of heating had been received. This means that the school administration did not notify the necessary services and left the situation unattended,” the parents express their dissatisfaction.
It seems that the health and safety of children do not concern anyone.
