The trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan is set to reach $500 million.

The Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Kohir Rasulzoda, during a working visit to Kyrgyzstan, met with the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev. The visit is timed to coincide with the first meeting of the Kyrgyz-Tajik Intergovernmental Council.

Rasulzoda thanked the Kyrgyz side for the warm welcome and emphasized the importance of this meeting for the further development and strengthening of cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

He also noted that for Tajikistan, the priority is the development of good-neighborly relations with Kyrgyzstan.

The Prime Minister expressed the Tajik side's readiness to fulfill the ambitious tasks set by the leaders of both countries.

During the meeting, important aspects of bilateral cooperation in the areas of trade, economy, culture, and humanitarian relations were discussed.
