A world map will be placed in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, with Issyk-Kul as the central point.
The initiative to install this map was proposed by the State Secretary of the Kyrgyz Republic, Arslan Koichiev, who instructed the creation of a copy of the work of Mahmud Kashgari-Barskani, dating back to the 11th century. This map, created during the Islamic Renaissance in Central Asia, highlights Issyk-Kul as the center of the world. The project is timed to coincide with the 1000th anniversary of Mahmud Kashgari-Barskani's birth.
According to this instruction, the Ministry of Culture will need to organize a competition to select the best project solution.
