The heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries discussed the prospects of Kyrgyz-Cambodian cooperation.

On February 23, 2026, a meeting took place in Geneva between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, and Prak Sokhon, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia. This meeting was held as part of high-level events of the UN Human Rights Council and the disarmament conference, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation, expressing interest in enhancing political dialogue, expanding the legal framework of agreements, and increasing trade and economic interaction. They also discussed the possibility of student exchanges. Special attention was given to issues of joint work within the UN and other aspects of the international agenda.

As a result of the meeting, the readiness to deepen bilateral ties was confirmed, including the organization of mutual high-level visits and the continuation of political consultations between the foreign ministries.
