At today's meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, President Sadyr Japarov urged the government to prioritize goods produced in the country.

This statement was made by the head of state in response to a request from Deputy Aigul Karabekova regarding the operation of the only syringe manufacturing plant in Kyrgyzstan. The deputy noted that the share of this enterprise's products in government procurement remains low.

The president reminded that several years ago, the state had already provided support to this production. "Under Alimkadyra Beyshenalieva as minister, we provided an interest-free loan. As a result, the enterprise seems to have established its operations and now produces about 500,000 syringes, but only a small portion of them is sold in the domestic market. Minister, I ask you to pay attention to this. Conduct an audit of where syringes are being purchased from. Why is local production not being utilized? This issue is under the control of the chairman of the cabinet of ministers," he added.

In addition, the president instructed to conduct an audit of syringe procurement and to focus on supporting local producers in order to reduce dependence on imports. "The entire republic should focus on products made in Kyrgyzstan. Ministries, deputies, and builders must emphasize domestic production," he concluded.
