The inspection took place early in the morning when winter conditions pose the greatest danger to road traffic: during the day, the snow begins to melt as temperatures rise, while ice forms at night and in the morning.
During the inspection, an incident occurred — a truck overturned on the bypass road Bishkek—Naryn—Torugart in the Issyk-Ata district due to slippery road conditions. This happened around 09:00.
Azamat Osmonov emphasized the need for the prompt application of anti-icing materials on the roads and increased monitoring of road conditions during evening and morning hours.
“Instructions have been sent to the relevant services to ensure road safety and prevent similar incidents. Disciplinary measures will also be taken against officials who failed to fulfill their duties regarding road maintenance,” the official statement said.
Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the accident.
