A man has been detained in Bishkek, accused of cruel treatment of his wife. This was reported by representatives of the press service of the Sverdlovsk District Police Department.
According to the provided information, on January 27, 2026, a woman named M. D. filed a complaint stating that her husband, M. D., had subjected her to physical and psychological abuse for a long time.
It is worth noting that protective orders had previously been issued against this individual due to instances of domestic violence. However, despite these measures, the accused continued his unlawful actions, causing physical and moral harm to his wife.
The collected facts allowed the actions of the suspect to be classified as "torture." The investigative service of the Sverdlovsk District Police Department initiated a criminal case under Article 138, Part 3 (torture) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The man, born in 1977, was taken to the investigative authorities, where, according to Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code, he was detained and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Police Department.
Currently, necessary investigative actions and procedural procedures are being carried out in this case.
