A Woman Was Deceived into Giving Up 988,000 Som. Suspects Detained

According to information from the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek, on February 13, suspects in fraudulent activities were detained.

A woman from the capital reported to the police that on September 23, 2025, she received a call via WhatsApp. The callers identified themselves as employees of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD), and the National Bank, and using deception, they forced her to transfer an amount of 988,233 soms.

This incident was registered in accordance with Article 209 of the Criminal Code ("Fraud").

Employees of the Main Investigation Department of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek detained two suspects: E.B., born in 1999, and D.S., born in 2005. They are currently in a temporary detention facility.

Investigative actions are underway.
